Description
A former church house, now divided into a house and a farmhouse, likely dating from the 15th century, with alterations in the early 17th and early 19th centuries. The building is constructed of random rubble with massive dressed quoins to the right, and has coped verges, a slate roof, decorative ridge tiles, and two ashlar end stacks, one capped with brick, and a central brick stack. It is two storeys and an attic in height, with four bays. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows, with the left three windows set in chamfered 17th-century stone surrounds. The ground floor has 16-pane sash windows to the extreme left and right, a 24-pane sash window to the centre, and all are beneath wooden lintols. The front door is set within a moulded two-centred stone surround and has a plank door with strap hinges, as well as a 20th-century half-glazed porch. There is a two-storey outshut to the left. A 15th-century single-light window with a cusped head is visible in a stone surround at the rear. The interior retains many 17th-century features.
