Description
The Court House is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is built of brick with rusticated freestone quoins and features a parapet with moulded stone coping, coped verges, and a pantile roof with rendered stacks, as well as a further brick stack at the rear. The building has two storeys and three bays, with 16-pane sash windows; the ground floor windows are slightly larger than those on the first floor. Each window has rusticated stone surrounds and stepped voussoirs.
At the center, there is a half-hexagonal brick porch with rusticated stone quoins, leading to a semi-circular headed door opening in a rusticated surround, which is flanked by paired three-quarter glazed doors. Each angle of the porch has a semi-circular head window, and it has a flat roof. The inner door is in a reeded surround and is a six-panelled door with a fanlight featuring radiating glazing bars.
To the right, there is a two-bay wing of lower height that is set back and has casement windows, likely indicating it is an earlier house. The forecourt is enclosed by a rubble wall with a central wrought iron gate.
