Description

Hanham Manor is a house that likely dates from the early 15th century, with additions and alterations from the 17th century and further work in the 20th century. The exterior is rendered and features a roof made of single and double Roman tiles, with some sections covered in slate. The roof is divided into three distinct sections, with the eastern section having coped verges and four low rubble stacks.

The building has an irregular front with a central steeply pitched gable in a cross-wing, a hall to the east, and an additional structure to the west. It stands two storeys high and has a layout of two bays on one side and one bay on the other. The windows include some 19th-century three-light casements, as well as four and five-light wooden mullioned windows with ovolo moulding and dripmoulds. There is a plain square-headed door opening to the left with a chamfered surround, and another door opening to the right, both featuring plank doors. The cross wing contains two base-cruck trusses, with additional small crucks above the tie and cusped arch-bracing, along with further features from the 17th century.
