Description
This is a detached house located next to Shapcott, dating from around 1700. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, with Ham stone dressings and a thatched roof featuring stepped coped gables. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. It features later style hollow chamfer mullioned windows set in recesses, with two lights and small rectangular leaded panes, as well as iron framed opening half-lights and internal vertical iron bars. There is a continuous string course above the ground floor window and doorway in the second bay, which has a 20th-century patterned boarded door set in a chamfered cambered archway, located within a timber and thatched open porch. Each end gable has a small oval oeil-de-boeuf window. There is a 20th-century flat-roofed extension on the west side and at the rear. The interior has not been seen.
