Description

This is a small, detached house located in Painswick Far End, near Sheepscombe, dating to the late 17th century. The house is constructed of squared and coursed limestone with a stone slate roof. It is positioned with a gable facing the road and steps down the slope.

At the road end, a 19th-century two-light casement window is set in the gable above a flat-roofed extension. To the left is a 20th-century porch extension with a door and a datestone inscribed 'IG 1683'. To the west are two two-light recessed chamfer casement windows with hoods at the lower end, and two small single-light windows at the upper end. The south-facing gable has two two-light recessed chamfer-mullioned casement windows with hoods at ground and first floors, along with a single light of the same design in the gable. A plank door is set into a good flat, four-centred lintel, which is chamfered to spade stops.
