Description

The buildings at 65 and 67 St Mary Street form a pair of attached houses dating from the mid-18th century. They are constructed of painted brick, with the right-hand section rendered. The roof is covered with double Roman tiles, featuring a stone coping to the right gable and a brick stack marking the party wall. The houses follow a double-depth plan, and are two storeys high, with a two-window frontage for each property. The first-floor windows are 6/6-pane sashes set under the eaves. The ground-floor openings have segmental arches, which sit beneath a decorative platband. Modern doors are located on the left and right. No.67 has an early 19th-century 8/8-pane sash window, while No.65 features a taller 6/6-pane sash. A small, likely original, dormer window is present on No.65, incorporating a hipped roof and lead cheeks, and featuring a 2-light casement window. The interior details were not recorded during the listing process.
