Description
31, 33, 33A, and 35 High Street are two houses that have been converted into three shops, dating from the early to mid 19th century. The buildings are constructed of Flemish-bond brick, with the right side painted, and feature painted stone stepped voussoirs and cills on the upper floors. They have wide bracketed eaves beneath a continuous pantile roof, with brick stacks located at the gable ends and the party wall. The structure has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall, with a five-window range. Nos. 31 and 33 on the left have two windows, featuring 3/6-pane sashes on the second floor and 6/6-pane sashes on the first floor. Nos. 33A and 35 have three windows, with horned plate-glass sashes that include margin panes on both floors. The interior has not been inspected.
