Description

The Abraham monument is a chest tomb located about 4 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St Stephen. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of Han stone. The base is buried, and the tomb features semi-circular arched panels with imposts and keystones, with one panel at each end and two on the north side. The south side is plain except for an inscription. The heavy hipped top is adorned with cyma-recta coving. This monument commemorates Adam Abraham, who died in 1709, along with others.
