Description

TRULL 2. ST 22 SW 9/249 II GV COMEYTROWE LANE (West Side) Former entrance to Comeytrowe Manor, approx 40 metres to south of junction with Comeytrowe Road

Entranceway. Probably early C19. Red brick in English bond with stone dressings. Square sectioned gate-piers having plinths, cornices, moulded-edged flat capstones and scrolled tops to hanging stiles. The flanking walls are approx 1½ metres high and 13 metres in length with flat stone coping. The left (southern) walk curves round in a reverse quadrant;the right wall is straight, terminating in another pier. Included for group value only.
