Description
GALMINGTON ROAD 1. 5365 (North Side) Nos 115 & 117 No 2 Galmington Lane ST 22 SW 3/204 16.10.73.

- One building, now subdivided into 3. Medieval in origin, with late C19/early C20 external appearance. Main range running east and west with a cross passage leading into a common rear yard. 2 storeys. Roughcast walls. Pantiles, eaves with exposed ends of rafters. 3 brick stacks at each end and halfway along the front wall. Rear gable of No 2 has pierced bargeboards. Modern wood casements of 2 and 3 lights. Lean-to verandah to ground floor, modern doors. The cross passage containing a stud and plank screen is entered from the rear through a 3-centred arched frame. To the east of the door is a large chamfered beam. The medieval timber frame of the house remains largely intact, though the hall and other chambers have been subdivided. Graded for the importance of the interior.
