Description
Rectory Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a bitumenised double-span slate roof with coped verges. The house has ashlar and concrete block stacks, with the ashlar stacks having moulded caps. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of four bays. On the first floor, there are two-light moulded stone-mullioned windows, and a weathered string course runs above them. The ground floor has four-pane sash windows set in dressed stone surrounds, which have been restored with stopped labels. There is a door opening on the right return, located in a gabled ashlar porch, leading to a four-panelled inner door. Inside, the ground floor features window shutters on the front.
