Description
Batch Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with early 19th-century alterations. The entrance front is made of coursed and squared rubble, featuring a first-floor band and a hipped slate roof, with stacks made of brick, ashlar, and concrete block. The building has two storeys and a symmetrical three-bay front, with 16-pane sash windows that have moulded freestone surrounds. The central door opening has a semi-circular head and is framed by a moulded freestone surround, leading to a six-panelled door with the top two panels glazed and a fanlight above. At the rear, there is a three-bay wing from the 17th century, which includes two-light stone-mullioned windows.
