Description

The Mull monument is a chest tomb located about 1 metre south-west of the porch of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Norton sub Hamdon. It dates from the 18th century and is made of Ham stone. The tomb features a moulded plinth on a stepped base, with a single fielded panel on each side and single-panelled pilasters on the flanks, but no frieze. The hipped top has moulded coving with rounded leading edges. This monument commemorates Mary Mull, who died in 1776, along with others.
