Description
The Mullins Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 1.5 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St. Thomas. It dates from the later 18th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb is raised on a plinth and was formerly surrounded by railings. It features two arched head plaques on each side, with fluted Corinthian pilasters positioned between them and at the corners. There are also arched head plaques at each end. The monument has a moulded base and cornice with a pulvinated frieze, topped with a ridged stone. The north side bears an inscription dedicated to G. Mullins, who died in 1796.
