Description
Gael Cottage and the cottage to the west are a row of three cottages, now two, dating from the 18th century and altered over time. They are constructed of rubble stone, featuring stone tiles on two sections and pantiles on the right end. Each section has coped gables and there is one ridge stack. The cottages are two storeys high.
The west section includes two upper 2-light flush cyma-moulded mullion windows, a ground floor single light that has been blocked, a blocked door, and a 4-pane sash window. The centre section has two 4-pane upper windows in recessed ovolo-moulded surrounds, which were formerly mullion windows, along with a ground floor window and door. The right section is made of ashlar and features a 4-pane ground floor window on the south side, an oval light in the attic at the west end, and a 3-light flush cyma-moulded mullion window on both the ground and first floors. Additionally, there is a 2-light ovolo-moulded mullion window on the north side of the first floor, with a wallface stack to the right. The centre section also has an altered door and a 2-light ovolo-moulded mullion window on the north side, both beneath a single hoodmould.
