Description

This is a row of three cottages located at 3 to 7 Station Road, dating from the 17th century but reconstructed in the 19th century. The cottages are built from rubble stone and feature stone tiled roofs, with a coped west gable, two ridge stacks, and an east end stack. They rise one and a half to two storeys high.

The west end wall retains its 17th-century character, showcasing a two-light attic flush cyma-moulded window, a three-light window on the first floor, and a four-light window on the ground floor, all of which are recessed and have hoodmoulds. The south front, which is from the 19th century, includes four decorative bargeboarded eaves dormers with three-light casements, situated above four three-light casements that alternate with three doors. These doors are set within timber stone-tiled porches that feature bargeboards similar to those on the dormers. Additionally, there is one more door at the right end and two dormers on the rear.
