Description
The outbuilding to the east of the Methuen Arms Hotel is a Grade II listed structure, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a half-hipped roof, with slate on the north side and stone tiles on the south. The building is two storeys tall.
The west front displays two blocks of five-tier dove openings on either side of a blocked window that is off-centre. The ground floor has paired doors in the centre, set under a timber lintel. To the left of these doors is a two-light flush cyma-moulded window that has been inserted in a former door space, along with another similar two-light window. To the right, there is a similar two-light window and a door within a flush surround. The south end includes garage doors with a blocked opening above. At the rear, there is a wing that is stone-tiled and connects to No 1 South Place on Lacock Road.
