Description

The wall, piers, and gates to The Grove date from the 18th century. The structure features ashlar channelled centre piers topped with corniced caps and an iron overthrow. On either side of the centre, there is an ashlar rusticated wall that ramps up to the centre piers, terminating to the east with a pair of corniced piers leading to a side gate, and to the west with a rebuilt rusticated corniced pier. The centre iron gates are adorned with scrolled ironwork.
