Description
This is a row of three cottages located on Corby Road in Irnham. The core of the cottages dates to the 17th century, with a mid-19th century extension and subsequent alterations, alongside 20th-century changes. The cottages are constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, and have a concrete tiled roof punctuated by two moulded stone gable stacks and a single ridge stack.
The front of the cottages presents a single-storey-and-attic façade with seven bays. There are three planked doors and four two-light windows. All openings are topped with moulded stone hoods. Five gabled dormers, each featuring a two-light casement and ashlar cheeks, are set into the roof. The windows have moulded surrounds, mullions, shaped heads to the lights, and cast iron casements. The right-hand three bays represent the 19th-century extension. Modern extensions are present at the rear.
