Description

The gate piers and wall to The Hermitage date from the mid-18th century. The wall is made of rubble stone and features a coping. The gatepiers are constructed from ashlar stone, with channelled upper courses, a moulded cornice, and spiral fluted urn finials. The gates are made of iron and were added in the 19th or 20th century.
