Description
The entrance gates, piers, and flanking walls to Box House were built in the early to mid 19th century. They feature a small wall made of ashlar stone with ashlar coping and caps on the piers. There are two gate piers, each topped with corniced caps, although only one has a pyramid capstone. The gates themselves are made of early 19th century iron with a spearhead design. Each side of the entrance has a curved wall leading to the outer ashlar piers, which are also corniced and topped with pyramid caps. To the left of the outer left pier, there is a short section of coped wall that ramps down, while a longer section of coped wall to the right of the outer right pier is not included in the listing.
