Description
The Elliott Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 16 meters north of the north-east buttress of the tower of the Church of St. Thomas. It dates from around 1832 and is constructed of ashlar stone. The monument features reeded angle piers, sides adorned with horizontal fluting, and a reversed trapeze-shaped plaque. It has a moulded base and a stepped cap topped with a ridged topstone. The earliest decipherable date on the monument is 1832.
