Description

This is a 17th-century detached house located on the north side of School Lane, Templecombe. The house is constructed from local stone rubble with ashlar dressings, and has a plain clay tile roof with bargeboarded overhangs to the gables. It features brick chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and five bays wide. Continuous string mouldings run over the ground and first-floor windows. It has 2-light, hollow chamfered mullioned windows with wrought iron and timber horizontal bar casements, and a moulded surround to the flat arched doorway, which includes a deep ashlar lintol and a late 20th-century door. Similar windows are present on the rear elevation, along with a 20th-century extension to the rear wall, which has been rendered. The interior was not inspected.
