Description

The Mill Cottage is a building that is believed to have been a miller's dwelling, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed of rubble with roughcast and has a thatched roof, along with brick stacks. The cottage has an L-shaped plan and is a single storey with an attic. The front features two two-light metal casements and one additional two-light casement, all with leaded lights. There is a door opening to the right with a plank door. The returns and rear of the building are designed in a similar style. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is reported to have beamed ceilings and a fireplace with a wooden bressumer.
