Description
Aisholt House is a late 18th-century house constructed from roughcast and colourwashed rubble, topped with a triple-Roman tile roof featuring coped verges and brick stacks. The building has a symmetrical front with two storeys and three bays. The windows include two and three-light wooden casements with leaded lights, the first-floor windows having cambered heads. The ground floor features large late 19th-century three-light casements with drips.
The central door opening is semi-circular with a fanlight that has glazing bars, leading to paired glazed doors and a 20th-century hood supported by pillars. There are single bay wings set back on each side, with slate roofs that match the overall style and ramped copings at the front. To the left, there is a 20th-century casement on the ground floor.
On the right side, there is a thatched loggia supported by rustic pillars, with a decorative pebble pavement of Nether Stowey type and a pointed arch door opening.
