Description
Bramble Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located in Compton Bishop, specifically in the area known as Webbingon. The exterior is rendered and designed to resemble blockwork, featuring end pilasters with vertical grooving and antheaeion motifs. The roof is covered with pantiles, and there is a brick ridge stack on the left side.
The cottage is symmetrical, with two storeys and two bays. It has flush-mounted 12-pane sash windows, except for a 16-pane sash window on the right side of the ground floor. Each window opening is adorned with stepped voussoirs. The central door opening also features stepped voussoirs and contains a recessed six-panelled door, with the top four panels being glazed.
