Description
The White Hart Inn is a late 18th-century inn located on the north side of Old Coach Road in Compton Bishop. The building is rendered and colourwashed, featuring a parapet with plain coping that ramps up slightly at each end. It has a pantile roof with a coped verge on the left and three brick stacks, two of which are rendered. The inn is two storeys high and consists of five bays with flush mounted 12-pane sash windows. On the ground floor, there are two flat roof canted bays with sash windows that have glazing bars. The entrance features two panelled doors beneath a portico, which has a flat entablature supported by two Tuscan columns, with half columns attached to the wall. To the left, there is a 20th-century metal garage door.
