Description
No. 10 North Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from local stone that has been cut and squared, with ashlar dressings. The roof is made of concrete plain tiles and features simple gables, along with brick chimney stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and two bays, with casement windows set in architraved surrounds. The central entrance consists of a six-flush panel door that is also architraved, topped with a pediment hood supported by simple stone console brackets. There is a significant 20th-century extension at the rear, on the southeast corner, which is not included in the listing. The interior has not been seen. The house is included in the listing mainly for its group value with other nearby buildings.
