Description

No. 6 Sadler Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It features an early 19th-century facade that belongs to an earlier property. The exterior is rendered with a false ashlar lining and has a clay pantiled gabled roof with the ridge running at right angles to the street. There is a large brick chimney stack. The building has a right-angle plan and is three storeys high with a single bay.

The ground floor includes an earlier 20th-century shop front that has ornamental leaded glass toplights above the display windows, along with a part-glazed door situated to the right in a deep recess. On the first floor, there is a shallow angled oriel window with a lead flat roof, featuring modified sash units arranged in an 8+16+8 pane configuration. The second floor has a long composite window made up of three sets of horizontal sliding sashes, with each of the six casements containing six panes. The interior has not been inspected.
