Description
No. 8 Sadler Street is a shop with a house above, featuring a late 19th-century facade that covers an earlier building. The exterior is rendered and colourwashed, with the south side dressed in slate hanging, likely over a timber frame. It has a Welsh slate roof with a plain gable, and the ridge runs at right angles to the street, topped with a rendered chimney stack. The building has a right-angle plan and stands three storeys high with an attic, comprising a single bay. The ground floor has an early 20th-century shop front that includes a three-pane display window and a half-glazed door set in a deep recess to the right. Above this, there is an angled bay window on the first and second floors, featuring one, two, and one units of casement windows with a single horizontal glazing bar, all set beneath a hipped Welsh slate lean-to roof. The gable includes a two-light casement window that matches the others. The interior has not been inspected.
