Description
No. 5 Cathedral Green is a building that originally served as a house and has been converted into offices. It dates back to the 17th century and was modified in the 19th century. The structure is built from local stone rubble, with some ashlar, and features a double Roman clay tiled roof that has coped gables, with the ridge running at right angles to Cathedral Green. There is a brick chimney stack.
The exterior consists of two storeys with an attic and has two bays. It features plain sash windows with four panes that are not aligned at each level. There is an additional window in the attic gable, above which is a small rectangular vent window. To the left of the first bay at ground floor level, there is a four-panel door with a rectangular fanlight. This door is set in a timber doorcase that includes Doric pilasters, a partial entablature, and a pediment.
The interior has not been inspected. This building is connected to No. 5 Market Place.
