Description

This milestone, likely from the 18th century, is located approximately 30 meters south-west of Coker Hill Bridge on the north side of the A30 road. Made of Hamstone, it features a rounded top, which has been weathered over time. On the south face, there is a cast-iron plate with a shouldered, curved top that is secured with iron bolts. The plate is inscribed with the simple incised lettering: 'IV YEOVIL'.
