Description

This milestone, likely from the 18th century, is set within a 20th-century boundary wall on the south side of West Coker Road. It is made of Hamstone and features a cast-iron plate. The stone upright has a shouldered triangular top with a rounded point. The north face displays the cast-iron plate, which has a shouldered, curved top and is inscribed with 'I / YEOVIL'. The 20th-century boundary wall itself is not considered to have special architectural or historic interest.
