Description
Orion House, formerly known as Hendford House, is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the middle of the 18th century. The exterior is texture rendered and features a steeply pitched Welsh slate roof with coped gables and brick stacks at each end that have been lowered to ridge level. The building is two stories tall with an attic and has a three-bay facade. The central doorway is modern, accompanied by a modern fibreglass porch with an open pediment. Each floor has 16-pane sash windows. At the attic level on both gables, there are oval bulls-eye windows with stone architraves. While some internal doors and other features remain, there have been alterations made to comply with fire regulations. The garage located on the southwest side is not of interest.
