Description
This is a villa dating from around the 1830s and 1840s. It has rendered and colourwashed walls, likely with underlying stonework dressings which are also painted. The building has prominent quoins, a band course, a plinth, and a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate, featuring a wide eaves overhang and an end stack on the left-hand side.
The facade is two stories high and three bays wide, with twelve-paned windows on the ground floor and nine-paned sash windows on the first floor. A projecting central stone porch, also colourwashed, features Soanian antae and margined windows on its sides. The porch has a pedimented roof, and contains double doors with three panels each. The interior of the villa has not been inspected.
A low, front boundary wall with coped stone is present, along with capped gate piers that are also of stone. These elements are of interest as they help preserve the character of the street scene.
