Description
Nos 31, 32, and 33 on Catherine Hill date from around 1811 and are stepped down the hill, slightly breaking forward from No 30. The buildings are constructed of coursed rubble with chamfered quoins and have continuous divisions marking changes of level. They rise three storeys and each has two windows featuring sashes set in plain architraves with glazing bars. The ground floor has shop fronts, with No 31 displaying a modillion fascia and panelled outer pilasters from the late 19th century. No 33 features a curved return to the stable yard, with one window that has an edge-bead on the curve and a similar window at the rear. There is also a two-storey wing at right angles to the main building, which includes a segmental through-arch leading to the stables.
