Description

The West Bagborough war memorial is a tribute to those who served in the First and Second World Wars. It consists of a large, upright slate slab that features inscriptions honoring the names of individuals who died and those who served. Above the slate slab is a bronze laurel wreath, all situated under a later timber canopy. The slate is inscribed with the words: "TO THE MEMORY OF THOSE WHO SERVED THEIR COUNTRY/ 1914 - 1918/ 1939 - 1945/ (NAMES)/ THOSE WHO SERVED/ (NAMES)."
