Description

A First World War and Second World War memorial.

MATERIALS Slate slab, with a bronze sculpture.

DESCRIPTION The memorial takes the form of a large, upright slate slab, which is inscribed, above which is a bronze laurel wreath, all set under a much later timber canopy. The slate is inscribed with the names of those who died and those who served: TO THE MEMORY OF THOSE WHO SERVED THEIR COUNTRY/ 1914 - 1918/ 1939 - 1945/ (NAMES)/ THOSE WHO SERVED/ (NAMES).
