Description

This is a late 18th-century cottage, one in a row. It is built of local stone rubble with a roof of undulating clay tiles over three courses of stone slates, coped to the west. The roof also has brick chimney stacks. The cottage has two storeys and one bay. It features a plinth and a 16-pane sash window on the ground floor, alongside a recessed six-panel door set within a segmental archway. Above the ground-floor window is a 12-pane sash. A rounded corner of the building leads into Grove Alley. A modern extension has been added to the rear. The cottage continues the form of number 9, nearby. The interior has not been inspected.
