Description
Suthfield House is an 18th-century house located on Quaperlake Street in Bruton. It is constructed from local stone rubble with Doulting stone dressings and features a Welsh slate roof behind a parapet, along with brick chimney stacks at either end. The building has two storeys and an attic, comprising three bays. It includes a plinth, cornice, and a low plain parapet. The windows are 16-pane sash windows that are set flush with the wall and have exposed timber lintels. The central doorway is recessed and surrounded by flat Doric pilasters, an entablature, and a pediment. On either side of the doorway, there are small ovolo mould mullioned windows, with one light on the left and three lights on the right. The house also features three flat-roofed dormers with casement windows. The interiors have not been seen.
