Description
Brookside is a house that has been converted into a medical centre. Originally built in the 17th century, it has been altered in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The exterior features stucco under the stacks on the gable ends and one ridge stack located to the left of the centre. The building has a three-unit plan typical of the 17th century and stands two storeys high with a range of four windows.
On the first floor, there are 19th-century three-light casement windows, except for the window above the door to the right of the centre, which has two lights. The entrance features a painted stone classical-style doorcase with an open pediment, likely added in the mid-18th century. The two ground floor windows to the left are modern four-light fixed panes with top corner panes that open, while the window to the right is a three-light version of the same style.
Inside, some chamfered beams are visible on the ground floor.
