Description
20 Low Road is a former house that has been converted into a doctor's surgery. It dates back to the early 17th century and features a timber frame with roughcast rendering and a pantiled roof. The building is designed in a 3-cell, lobby-entry style and has two storeys. There are three windows, primarily sash windows with glazing bars, and to the lower left, there is a small-paned casement window from the mid-20th century. A one-storey gabled porch has a sash window that replaces the original doorway, and above it, there is a small three-light casement window. The stack has a cement-rendered axial shaft, and there is a mid-20th century side entrance. The interior has not been examined, but most of the timbers are said to be concealed. There are mid-20th century rear additions to the right that are not of special interest.
