Description

This roadside gateway, dating from the early to mid 19th century, is located adjacent to the east side of Enmore County Primary School. It features a pair of coursed rubble piers set on moulded stone bases, with brick quoins and moulded stone caps topped by ball finials. The gateway is complemented by an ornamental wrought-iron gate and has a short section of wall on each side, which also has moulded stone coping and additional ball finials. This structure is a prominent feature along the roadside and is included mainly for its group value with the Enmore County Primary School.
