Description

The Vibart family monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 6.5 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St Andrew and St Mary. It dates from the early 19th century and is possibly made of Ham stone. The tomb features a ledger top, a moulded cornice, and a moulded plinth. The north and south faces have end pilasters that are divided into two raised and fielded panels. The inscription on the north face is illegible, while the south face likely commemorates a member of the Vibart family who died in 1816. The east and west ends of the tomb are plain, and the top is damaged. There are several other monuments to members of the Vibart family within the church.
