Description
The Vagg Family Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 7 meters south of the south aisle of the Church of St John the Baptist. It features dressed stone and is designed as an oblong chest resting on a moulded plinth. The tomb has corner urn pilasters and decorated panels with inscriptions on all sides. The slab top is moulded around its lower edge. The earliest inscription on the monument is dedicated to Henry Vagg, dating back to 1729.
