Description
The gate piers and flanking walls, located about 325 metres north-northwest of Colinshayes House, date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from Doulting stone ashlar for the piers and local stone rubble for the walls. The piers are hexagonal in shape, featuring a moulded plinth with a base measuring approximately 900 mm by 900 mm. Each pier has recessed panels with pointed arches on the leading faces and is topped with moulded pointed caps, reaching a height of about 2.4 metres. The curved flanking walls are capped with upright stones and have an average height of 1 metre.
