Description
Oxenpill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations and an addition from the early 19th century. It is constructed of colourwashed rubble and features double Roman and pantile roofs with coped verges and brick stacks. The building has a cross passage plan with an attached gabled wing.
On the right side of the farmyard frontage, there is a 17th-century range that is two storeys high, with two casement windows on the ground floor and a door opening that contains a plank door. To the left, the two-storey 19th-century range has two 16-pane sash windows on the first floor and a 4-light casement window on the ground floor.
Inside, the farmhouse has exposed ceiling beams and a fireplace with a broad wooden bressumer. The roof construction is contemporary with the building and retains some thatch beneath the tiles.
