Description
Cross Cottage is a house from the 17th century that has been significantly altered in the 19th century. It features a roughcast exterior and a triple Roman tile roof with coped verges and brick end stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows include two and three-light casements, with two of the ground floor windows on the left being top hung, and a three-light ovolo-moulded window to the right on the ground floor. The door opening is nearly central and has a studded plank door with strap hinges. To the left, there is a single bay outshut that is lower in height, which has a casement on each floor and paired plank doors. The cottage is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
