Description
Middle Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond red brick with rusticated ashlar quoins and features a slate roof with coped verges and end brick stacks. The building has a symmetrical frontage with two storeys and three bays, which include 16-pane sash windows with cambered head reveals, rubbed brick voussoirs, and stone keys. The central entrance consists of a 9-panelled door with a transom light that has glazing bars, all sheltered by a gabled hood supported by slender wooden posts. The overall appearance of the frontage is complete and attractive. The side returns are made up of a mix of rubble and brick.
