Sea Farmhouse And Barn Attached To North-East Corner

Sea Farmhouse is a farmhouse likely built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from roughly cut and squared ham stone and features a thatched roof with a coped gable on the east side and a plain gable on the west side, along with brick chimney stacks. The building has a T-plan layout, is two storeys high, and consists of three bays. The windows are horizontal bar casements, with the lower ones being three-light and having slightly segmental arched heads, while the first-floor windows are four-light, all set into the thatch. Between the first and second bays, there is a projecting single-storey porch that has a coped gable and a ball finial, with a chamfered segmental outer archway leading to a 19th-century boarded door inside. The east gable is plain, while the west gable is rendered and has 20th-century steel casement windows inserted. There is a lean-to and an extension at the rear. The interior has not been seen. Attached to the northeast corner of the farmhouse is a long barn wing divided into two parts, featuring a half-hipped thatched roof and blocked windows in the south gable. The windows at the northern end of the barn match those of the house, and part of the west elevation is timber clad.
