Description

This is a house in a row, likely dating from the 18th century, although it was modified in the early 20th century. It is built of local stone rubble with dressings of Doulting stone, and has a brick eaves course. The roof is covered with concrete double Roman tiles, with plain gables, and the ends have brick chimney stacks. The house is two stories high with an attic, and has an irregular arrangement of windows. A partly glazed entrance door is on the left, set within an architraved surround, topped with a flat stone hood supported on corbel brackets. To the right of the entrance door is a four-pane sash window with a matching architrave, hood and brackets. Above these are two four-pane sash windows of different sizes and levels, also with architraved surrounds. A pitched-roof dormer with casement windows is visible in the roof. The interior has not been inspected. The building is primarily included on the list for its contribution to the character of the surrounding area.
